About Generate tools
UUID v4, random numbers, and strong passwords all draw on the browser's cryptographic random source rather than a predictable one. Slugs turn a title into a URL-safe string. Lorem Ipsum fills a layout. The Markdown table builder saves counting pipe characters by hand, and the .gitignore generator assembles a sensible starting file for your stack.
One caution on hashes. MD5 and SHA-1 are fine for a checksum — confirming a download arrived intact — and both are broken for anything security-related. Neither belongs anywhere near password storage, which needs a deliberately slow algorithm such as bcrypt or Argon2. Generate a hash here to compare two files, not to protect a credential.
